    Job Title:                      Project Coordinator

    Job Location:               Brewster, NY

    Job Type:                     Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Not Contract

    Salary:                          Hourly position; $22.00 – $30.00 / hour*

    Travel:                          Local and Regional travel, incidental 

    *(compensation may vary based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other factors)

    Position Overview: The Project Coordinator for Northline Utilities (NLU) functions to maintain and monitor the project files and assist the Project Managers with daily administrative activities to contribute to the overall project success.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, equipment, and systems of work for self and all employees, and to participate in training as needed for this purpose.

    • Assist the Project Managers and Associate Project Managers by executing a variety of project management administrative tasks, such as:
      • Manage any and all project management documents.
      • Create, submit, and track time sheets for crews.
      • Maintain crew rosters for certain projects.
      • Maintain work order logs.
      • Review payroll proof report for crews/jobs.
      • Feeder Requests and Regular Customer Reporting.
      • Track Open POs.

    • Manage project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored – paper and electronic storage.

    • Update project progress information and create project status reports for Project Managers and stakeholders.

    • Organize and schedule project meetings and maintain project meeting minutes.

    • Develop a strong working relationship with the General Foreman and other key stakeholders assigned to their projects which promotes mutual support and interaction.

    • Strong communication skills, both verbally and written, and the ability to effectively communicate throughout all levels of the organization.

    • Become and remain proficient in all computer programs necessary to perform the everyday duties of the position – MS Office Suite.

     

    Position Requirements:

    • Education:
      • Associate’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
      • A high school diploma with 2–5 years of experience in the electrical construction industry, project management, or a related field will also be considered.

    • Skills:
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
      • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
      • Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and well-organized documentation and reports.
      • Demonstrated ability in problem solving, decision making, and exercising sound judgment and assertiveness.
      • Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to manage complex information and ensure accuracy in all tasks.
      • Ability to work independently once responsibilities and objectives are communicated.
      • Strong customer service skills, with a clear understanding of customer expectations and contractual requirements.
